MANILA - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday the reults of the Metallurgical Engineer and Mining Engineer Licensure Examinations given this August 2009.
Seventeen out of 31 examinees passed the Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Metallurgical Engineering, while 11 out of 18 passed the Mining Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mining Engineering, the PRC said.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Wednesday, August 26, for metallurgical engineers, while those for mining engineers will start Thursday, August 27.
Those who will register are required to bring the followingDuly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng PropesyonalCurrent Community Tax Certificate (cedula)2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012.
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals, prior to the oathtaking ceremonies.
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Mutya Room, Sulo Hotel, Matalino Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
Registration for membership with the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) will take place after registration as a professional with the Board and the Commission.
Meanwhile, the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the Mining Engineer Licensure Examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 9:00 o’clock in the morning up to 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the Legend Villas, Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong City.
Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers (PSEM) will take place after registration as a professional with the Board and the Commission.
